French SVW45The Mauser code was changed from 1945 to "SVW45". This code can also be seen on several thousand post war French assemble P38s. Typical for the French P.38s is the "star proof" which served as a pressure test proofmark and not as an acceptance stamp. It can be found on the same places as the German proofmark.
Total production of the French 1945/1946 guns is probably 35.000 pieces.
