Why this website?

Why this website? That’s the question a lot of people asked me.

I have a simple answer.

The Walther P.38 (The P stands for Pistole) are one of the finest, best looking and most valued guns in the world. A collectors piece !

One of the first “double action” guns in the world was the P.38. And when you are searching for info on the web or in books, you can find a lot of info about the Mauser P.08 but not very much about the P.38.

There are a handful of collectors who have made a website about this gun. Some with only the handling, or operation charts, or pictures. But my idea is to combine all the info I can get about the P.38. I’m still searching for info on the web and in books. I am also talking to and mailing back and forth with experts all over the world to get all the info I can.  This must be the website which can be used for people who like to explore the P.38 in all facets. For study, or for interests.

First my idea was to make a Dutch website, but I found out that a lot of people all over the world wanted me to make an English based website. So as a response to that, I will make my website in English. I’m always trying to make the website as up to date as possible. Also, I am always busy getting the most accurate information on the website as possible. My good friend and P.38 collector Ron Clarin is helping me to make sure of that.

I hope you have a lot of fun exploring this site. If there are any questions, I will try to answer these the best I can.
